Remarks Dennis cut this twice for Joe Gibbs, this one is the chart hit. That brought Dennis to the attention of the Pop Music majors. It would have been nice if they had got behind and promoted the ‘Joseph Coat Of Many Colours album, but they didn’t. Which was rammed with hits. But the great success of this tune, a perfect example of Dennis’s style. Was instead short lived. A&M pushed Dennis down the middle of the road route - with the sadly lacking ‘Words Of Wisdom’ album, that did nothing for career.
